The three main financial statements which are in general put together quarterly and yearly
- income statement – shows income and expenses over a period of time
- balance sheet – a snapshot at a single point in time showing the book value of assets, liabilities and shareholders’ equity
- cash flow statement – shows cash coming into the business in three areas – operations, financing and investing
